Not your average story (The Dublin station)

"Attention! Attention! The train for Galway city will be leaving from platform 9 of the Dublin railway station in 5 minutes." -The voice of the information announcer was echoing in my ears as if I had а loudspeaker glued to my shoulders. My suitcase was heavy enough for me not to be able to hit my "RUN" button. Where the hell was that platform. I was in the main hall and flocks of people were storming all around me. I felt not only helpless but in an own time bubble of mine. I could feel my eyes getting filled with the hot, burning substance that would most definitely make me look like a complete fool. What was I thinking in the first place, going off to a completely foreign country on my own. My precious seconds were ticking away as my desperation and self doubt grew terrifyingly high. Wouldn't I not get to Galway city tonight, there was not point in going any further.I could almost hear the deafening sound of my failure. And I hate failure!
"Excuse me there, miss" a friendly voice came from behind my shoulder "Are you fine?"The tall station officer smiled at me, winning me over with his charming accent and boyish dimples. I must have looked like a lost, homeless puppy. "No, not fine at all, sir! The train for Galway is leaving in four minutes and I don't know how to get to it. And if I don't it would have been in vain and..." I could have continued rambling on until the end of time had he not stopped me with a gentle gesture. "Come now, sweet missy!" he smiled at me disarmingly as he pulled the suitcase off my hand "Hurry up then, it's this way, your platform."
I am completely sure my voice sounded squealing and annoying as I tried to explain what was wrong. But as we run through the station I could hear my laughter loud and clear. About two hundred metres away we went through another door and with the corner of my eye I could see the 9 sign. And there my train was. I looked, breathing heavily, to the polite man and he had this great bright smile on his face."You have a lovely loud laugh, love."
As I got in the train itself I heard a whistling sound signalising our departure. I smiled once again at that miracle of a man that saved me. " I won't forget you!"- I shouted.
My journey was then surely ahead of me. But what happened served me as a reminder that it had already began.

A turtle's shell

Hello there all your lost souls! Have you found what you were looking for already, or are you still lost? Well, aren't we all!
You know that funny feeling you get, when you close your eyes and you can imagine yourself everywhere you want around the globe. I do too. And after a very poignant self-discovering journey now it seems that is the very place I have been trying to run so hard away from, that I virtually go back to. There comes a time in every man's life, when one in practically homeless (and almost every time moneyless as well). That can make you feel alone, stranded and lost, no doubt in that. And what is home anyways?
The craziest thing I have lately done was to get fully clothed under the shower. I wasn't home, because I can barely call the room on the uni campus home. But it felt so good. One moment I could feel the heavy wet clothes surrounding me, dragging me down by the laws of physics. And then I took them off, as if every single trouble was washed away.
But troubles never disappear. It is us,who choose whether to let them into our minds. Another crazy, beating the ass of every geek-oriented thesis of mine you've so far read - what if we are the only home we need. What if we make records of everything that makes us feel good in our mind. And then, when we need to feel loved, happy, aspired or...home and we just call out that feeling. It is like a turtle's shell (only not so bony). We grow and evolve as distinctive individuals and we always change. You know it! I know it! So it's only natural that from time to time you may have to find yourself without a physical place to live. Well, that's all right now, isn't it. Cause now that I've inspired you, you can have your own turtle shell-ish home...
